Pyjamas from a Vintage Sheet

Whilst vintage dresses are becoming increasingly difficult to find in charity stores, vintage sheets are still a dime a dozen. Sheets and pillowcases can be easily refashioned into pyjamas in just a few easy steps. Follow our free tutorial.

Vintage fabric
I recently inherited an enormous amount of fabric from my grandmother. Most of it was from the sixties and seventies.

I was astonished to find that she had kept even the tiniest of fabric scraps. I also found many garments in pieces, and with zips and buttons missing. Presumably she had plans to refashion the fabric, zips and buttons into a new garment.
Refashioning it seems, is in my genes!

Little Bo Peep

My current obsession with the colour yellow led me to spot this adorable number in the costume section of a charity store. The fabric is in good condition and has a very unusual texture. The sytle speaks of another era, when ladies had tiny necks, wrists and waists.

In the coming weeks, I am planning to refashion this dress into a sleeveless 1960's shift.
